Cedarville Indoor Meet

Posted Sunday, February 13, 2011 by Mike Hout
A number of Miamisburg runners were busy this weekend with the indoor meet at Cedarville.  I saw some results but spent a majority of my time over at the vault pit.

I heard Daniel Henson was second in his heat in the hurdles.  I saw the girls run a solid race in the 4x800 (Jenna Parlette, Lydia Barry, Brittany Sumner) with a great finish by Jordan Townsley.  Congrats on your fourth place finish!  I saw the boys run pretty well in the 4x400.  That was pretty late in the meet and I think I saw Andrew Denlinger, Dishon Meriwether and Daniel Henson on it.  Elliott Zech ran the two mile and I saw most of that.  Jonathan Steingass broke five minutes in the mile and Josh Sensenbaugh stunned with his first mile race being just a little over five minutes.  Ayanna Pringle ran the 400 (5th place) and the 200 (almost placed).  Rats, I missed both of those races.  When I walked in the arena Brett Hoefling was high jumping but I don't see her name in the results.  I heard at practice on Monday that she cleared 4-10.  I saw the end of a 800 race with Cece Gates running a nice race and breaking three minutes.  Jose Roderick ran the 400 and I saw most of that.  Grace Steingass and Laura Shaw both vaulted and shook off some rust from a long winter.  The best marks of the day were in the 800 by Donnie White who was third overall and just a hair over 2:03.  This will place him very high in the state and maybe put him in good position for the indoor state meet.  Zak Kruer cleared 13-1 in the pole vault for a new personal best.  This mark might also be good enough to qualify for the indoor state meet.

We will be updating these results but until then you can check more information out at:
