Regional finals and a funeral

No, the funeral was not for any of our runners.  Actually, the funeral was not for any of the athletes at the regionals.  Pastor Hout had a funeral late Friday afternoon and by the time he was able to get to the meet, it was all over.  When he stopped crying, he found out that Michael Melko ran a seasonal best time to narrowly get knocked out of placing.  As for the rest of the meet, check out the results at the following website:

By the way, Larry Jessee sends his best to Zak Kruer at the state meet.  There are three nice pictures of Zak on the Dayton Daily News website.  His "upside down" picture was featured in the Thursday edition of the paper.  Scroll along the slide show at the following site and you will be able to see all of them:
