Stebbins meet on 3/29

Posted Friday, March 30, 2012 by Mike Hout
Lots of crazy weather at this meet.  Thankfully, none of the crazy weather included any H2O.  It was hot in the afternoon and slowly cooled until everyone was wishing they had a winter jacket at 9pm.  The meet also included middle schoolers.  Interestingly enough, both the boys and girls middle school teams from Miamisburg won!

In High School action we had some familiar names do some familiar things.  Jordan Townsley ran away with the 800 and ran a great relay leg.  Brooklyn Mikesell won both hurdles with times that moved her up the all-time Miamisburg list.  Zak Kruer placed well in the 300 hurdles and the pole vault but showed some versatility by winning the long jump and moving to number six on the all-time 'Burg list.  Marlena Clark just missed winning the shot put by one inch.  Still, she moved up to #8 on the all-time Miamisburg list.

The girls from Miamisburg dominated the 3200 meter run by going 2-3-4-5-6-7.  Robert Young is showed more speed by placing well in both the 100 and 200.  Our boys went 2-3-4 in the 800 while the girls went 1-2-4-5-6.  Ayanna Pringle won the 400 and was second in the 200.  Andrew Denlinger was second in the 200 and ran a good relay leg.  Grace Steingass was second in the 1600 and Quentin Mullen was second in the 3200.  Chris Carmack was second in the discus.  Olivia Newman was third in the 100 and Zoe Marcott was third in the pole vault.

This is our final meet on spring break.  It will be good to have our full team in action at our next meet.
