Franklin JV - more of that wet stuff!

Posted Wednesday, May 02, 2012 by Mike Hout
We didn't get too far in the Franklin JV meet before the lightning hit and the rain started sprinkling.  Thankfully we were on the bus and headed home when the big deluge hit.

Some who did not want to run or did not want to be there were happy.  I certainly heard plenty of comments from a negative worker at the pole vault.  For 45 minutes she kept talking about wanting the rain to hit or the lightning to come so she could leave.  On the other hand, this was not the attitude of any of our pole vaulters.  They were all psyched and ready for some personal bests.  For some of them, this would be their last official meet and they were ready to go out on a high note.  I am sorry for them that the bar only got to 6-6 and only one of our vaulters had an opportunity to compete.  From what I have heard, they are planning on training together through the good weather of May and cheering on our varsity vaulters.  That sounds like some good teammates to me!!!
