The boys were third and the girls were fourth as a team.  It is believed that this is the best ever finish for our girls squad (the boys were second last year which still stands as a school best).

Here are some quotes from the paper of May 25th:
Miamisburg's vaulter Zak Kruer has his sights set on one of the oldest school records in area history, Larry Jessee's 15-1 1/2 set in 1970.  "It's an everyday thing," said Kruer, who missed three times at 15-2 after securing the win at 14-6.  "At practice all you hear is Larry Jessee.....I'm so ready to break that and get it done either at state or regional. It's gonna happen.  Hopefully, everything will click at state."

Burg freshman Bailey Mergler cleared 14-0 to place second and best Kruer's ninth-grade school record by one foot.

"Miamisburg vaulting, it's no joke anymore," said Kruer, who'll decide between Eastern Michigan and Wilmington to vault at the next level.  "We're out there."
